DayWeigh stores all health and weight metrics locally on your device via Apple HealthKit. We do not transmit or store your weight entries on any external servers. Basic, non-personally identifiable diagnostic and app interaction metrics are collected via Firebase Analytics to help improve app functionality.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the DayWeigh mobile application (the "App"). We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it through transparent data practices. DayWeigh is designed to operate primarily on-device, storing your personal health logs directly within Apple's Health ecosystem.
2. Health Data & Apple HealthKit
DayWeigh integrates with Apple Health via the HealthKit API to read and write your body weight data.
- Local On-Device Storage: All weight logs, body metrics, and health data read from or written to HealthKit remain entirely on your device and inside your personal, encrypted iCloud backups managed by Apple.
- Zero Server Storage: DayWeigh does not operate external databases, user accounts, or remote servers to store or process your health metrics.
- HealthKit Data Protection: In strict accordance with Apple App Store Review Guidelines, health data obtained through HealthKit is never used for marketing, advertising, profiling, or sold to third parties or data brokers.
3. Anonymous Usage & Diagnostic Analytics
To help us maintain app stability and improve overall performance, DayWeigh uses Firebase Analytics (a service provided by Google LLC).
- What is Collected: Aggregate, non-personally identifiable app interaction data such as screen views, feature interactions, app launches, session durations, and crash reports.
- Strict Data Isolation: Firebase Analytics is strictly isolated from HealthKit. No weight data, health metrics, or personal identifiers are ever sent to, recorded by, or processed through Firebase Analytics.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share any personal information or health metrics with third parties. Except for the anonymous diagnostic data described in Section 3, no data is transmitted outside your local device environment.
5. Your Rights & Data Control
Because DayWeigh stores your health records inside Apple Health, you retain complete ownership and control over your data at all times. You can manage, revoke, or clear DayWeigh’s read/write permissions directly through your iOS device settings under Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > DayWeigh.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in functionality or legal requirements. Any updates will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
